New and Improved Stronga DumpLoada 1000 half-pipe at Agritechnica

Re-engineered through close co-operation with our partners and customers in the German market, the new DL1000 Half-Pipe sets the standard for professional contractor dumpers.

This highly improved 25 tonne gross weight tandem dumper has been designed to provide you with vast cost benefits over trucks and dumpers, perfect for transporting heavy materials in the road building, quarrying, recycling and demolition industries.

The new addition to the Stronga family will be showcased at this years Agritechnica exhibition, in Hannover Germany from the 13th to the 19th November. Why not come along and say “hello”?

Light and strong: your perfect recipe.

Our customers wanted to make fewer journeys and increase their overall fuel efficiency, no small challenge, so we went back to the drawing board to create the DumpLoada 1000 half-pipe.

The DL1000HP’s curved body design eliminates the need for the traditional axial and transverse supports, so we’ve stripped them out. The result is a super strong, slim line half pipe body design that boosts trailer payload, every load every day.

Our customers also wanted a machine that would be able to handle even the toughest of challenges, with Hardox 450, no job is too hard for the DL1000HP. The unique wearing properties of the 6mm Hardox 450 used throughout the half-pipe body, increases the service of life of the trailers, contributing to the long life and low cost of ownership by combating costly enemies such as cracks, dents and wear. Our Stronga DumpLoada trailers work hard for you everyday, withstanding the worst possible damage and abuse you can throw at them from rocks, sand, scrap, and waste.

Half-pipe: no longer just a cool toy for boys in baggy jeans…

According to our customers, apart from being a great thing to skate on, the half-pipe shape is a great design for a dumper body, for a number of reasons.

The side-height of 960mm means a low centre of gravity offering great stability when driving and tipping.

During loading, materials slide down the sides of the body, reducing the risk of dents and increasing the life of the machine.

The half pipe design also improves trailer stability during unloading

The shape also allowed us to achieve the 13 m3 level loaded capacity, which you stated was optimal for heavy materials in a tandem dumper.

No more waiting around…

We know your time is precious; when you’re transporting materials you don’t want to be waiting around longer than necessary. We have come up with a solution for those tricky materials that refuse to let go when tipping.

The DL1000HP’s huge front-mounted multistage tipping cylinder powers the body up to an impressive 56̊ angle. This combined with the half-pipe body shape and wide opening top-hung rear door, means a fast and clear exit for lumpy materials.

Excellent Weight Distribution

The pivoting tandem-axle configuration and 5.25 metre body length was voted by you to be the optimal design for manoeuvrability and efficiency. The length of the trailer and suspension configuration provides operators with good weight distribution between trailer and tractor, stable and effective over rough terrain.

Why invest in the Stronga DL1000HP?

Extremely robust, well proven Stronga design

Half-pipe shape increases machine life and helps to maximise your productivity

Low tare weight through the extensive use of Hardox 450

Great weight distribution between tractor and trailer

Standard rubber sprung drawbar that supports high tongue loads

Powerful front tipping ram to maximise lift capacity

Low centre of gravity

Low loading height, optimises loader cycle

Tailgate with pivoting top hung and hydraulic operation

Great choice of optional specifications

The 20 tonne grain chaser module with 400mm diameter P.T.O shaft driven hydraulic folding auger

A number of large arable enterprises came to the stand and are in discussion to trail the system on farms in the area.

Innov-Agri is a premier event in the French farming calendar leading agricultural technology and machinery in the market. The large demonstration areas surrounding the stands allow for diverse array of agricultural demonstrations to be held, showing the complete cycle of arable farming.

Capital Efficient and Uniquely Flexible HookLoada

A HookLoada trailer plus grain chaser module offers a far more capital efficient solution than a traditional single purpose grain chasers while delivering all the same benefits, shuttling grain from field to roadside trucks.

The multipurpose ability of the HookLoada means that, after grain chasing duties are completed, the HookLoada trailer can immediately be used for every other farm transport requirement throughout the year.

AVL, the Stronga importer in France reported that the HookLoada market is growing with strong demand from many customers now seeing the benefits of the flexibility and cost efficiency offered by hooklift trailers.

More and more modern farmers who properly consider the whole farm transport operation are realising the significant benefits HookLoada trailers deliver to their farming operations.

The predominant arable crops in the area around Toulouse where the show was held this year are maize and sunflower. The farmer hosting the show uses a number of containers his farming operation for both transport and temporary storage.

An all new range topping Stronga hook trailer has been launched this week with increased capacity and length setting a “New Standard” in hook trailer design.

Stronga have raised the bar again with this class leading, longer, higher capacity hook trailer developed following demands from customers in France, Germany, Scandinavia and Switzerland for longer, higher output, high speed hook trailers.

One metre longer than our previous largest HookLoada, the new trailer is best matched with containers of optimum length 7.2 metres but is easily capable of carrying containers up to 7.5 metres long with 5.7 metres being the minimum.

Hook Lift Trailer Evolution

The HL260TXL is a completely new model, built from the ground up while retaining all the best features of the highly popular HL250T.

The new HL260TXL delivers powerful benefits, carrying longer containers with more space for payload while the increased 26 tonne capacity helps maximise transport efficiency; reducing fuel costs, maintenance costs and operator hours.

New HL260T XL Compact and Low

Compact and low for a machine of it’s ability, our highest high output hook trailer yet is targeted towards the professional operator with strength, working life and residual values over and above that of any other equipment available in the market today.

New 30% Faster Cycle Times

Reducing time spent tipping and exchanging containers is an important factor in increasing efficiency of hook lift operations. The new model has an upgraded high capacity PTO pump with 30% increased capacity leading to 30% faster cycle times (loading, unloading and tipping).

Longer, Stronger and Lighter

Tare weight has been minimised while strength and service life maximised through increased use of Weldox and Hardox high strength steel in key areas of the trailer structure bringing improved efficiency through increased payload leading to lower tractor hours, less fuel, less wear and tear, lowering overall costs per tonne payload transported.

New Chassis and Steering Axle Technology

A completely new steering axle from ADR has been integrated with a narrower and deeper chassis providing an improved steering angle for a more manoeuvrable trailer and a larger, more powerful steering cylinder, handling large modern radial trailer tyres with ease.

As with all Stronga trailers high specification comes as standard with great options available

Recent increases in gas, oil and electricity prices mean that wood-burning heaters can be more economical and environmentally friendly than fossil fuel alternatives, now is a great time to look at Wood-Air Heaters. Stronga’s new range of wood heaters features 50, 80 and 140 kWh models.

Money Saving

Stronga Wood-Air Heaters save users money year on year as fossil fuel prices continue to rise, as well as providing future energy security and independence. Suitable for burning all types of dry wood and secondary waste wood they are ideal for anyone with waste pallets, joinery off cuts and spare logs.

Calculations for the SWH80 show that over an 18-week period at 40 hours use per week can save over £3,000 when comparing wood heaters to oil heaters. The average user recoups their initial investment quickly and can save tens of thousands of pounds over the years.

The cost saving is three fold: no fossil fuels costs, no costs associated with sending waste to landfill, less cost to the environment.

Easy to Use and Efficient

The large loading door and firebox means you batch load allowing long periods between refuelling, as well as easy removal of ash.

Flexible Wood-Air Heaters

The Stronga Wood-Air Heaters offer a flexible and highly effective portable heating system. Designed for use in greenhouses, warehouses, farm workshops, farm buildings and small-scale industrial units. These wood heaters also offer significant savings when used for grain drying, wood chip drying or as a pre-heater in combination with your existing drying system.

Simple Heat Control
The delivery of warm air is controlled by a thermostatic probe, fitted to the top of the heater, which controls the warm air recirculation fan, starting and stopping the fan according to the preset thermostatic temperature.

The combustion fan blows air into the firebox to assist efficient burning, the manual cowl allows controlled combustion.

5 Simple Steps to Cheaper, Cleaner Space Heating and Drying

1 – Place the Stronga WoodHeata in position

2 – Plug it in to the electric supply

3 – Connect the flue

4 – Fill Firebox with wood and light

5 – Close the firebox door and start to use

Select The Right Wood Heater

Selecting the right heater for the space it will be used to heat is important to ensure the most cost effective and efficient heating solution.

The highest capacity tandem axle BulkLoada in the Stronga range, the BL750, just got better. As part of our drive for continuous improvement with innovative, high performance transport solutions we have refined the design of the BL750, reducing weight, increasing strength and improving efficiency for our customers.

Largest Payload on Two Axles = Improved Transport Cost Efficiency

Throughout the redesign process we took great care to retain the BulkLoada’s signature high-capacity modern, tapered and curved body shape, whilst maximising the internal capacity and strength. The ribbed underside and mid-support bands transfer weight evenly through the body and chassis. Intelligent use of high strength steel in key areas ensures a long life structure, while keeping tare weight down and payloads up. The modern tapered body design of the BulkLoada provides a fast, clear exit, preventing problems with compacted materials.

Hardox in my Body, Weldox in my Chassis

Through our co-operation with Miedema on the BulkLoada vegetable trailers we have began to introduce the option of Hardox floors in all our premium bulk trailers. Using a single piece Hardox wear plate keeps the floor extremely flat while giving the body additional torsional stiffness and long-life.

In addition Weldox is extensively used in high stress areas of the chassis, use of these specialist steels increase the trailers strength whilst minimising its un-laden weight.

Improved Tipping Performance – Faster Cycles

The class leading 51° rear tipping angle combined with the reliable and proven design of the Stronga wide angle hydraulic up and over rear door opening wide and high ensures clean and fast emptying.

The rear grain hatch has been upgraded with a superior seal delivering improved performance for carrying fine grains. Hard compound self-lubricating slides, avoid metal-metal contact, for a longer life, a better seal and consistently easy grain hatch operation.

The Stronga feature rear door mechanism operates both locking and opening of rear door while a safety valve prevents accidental opening of the rear door in transit.

The new BL750 now comes with added optional independent pump system with rapid lowering valve, so that the trailer body can descend faster than normal, allowing you to improve cycle times, getting out of the yard and into the field faster.

High Speed Running Gear on the BulkLoada BL750

Operating with heavy payloads at high speed requires capable running gear that can stand up to the rigors of high payloads at high speed. Axles on the new BL750 are specified well within their weight limits for piece of mind and reliability both on and off road. All Stronga bulk trailers come with multi-leaf parabolic high-speed running gear fitted as standard, with air or hydraulic suspension available on customer’s request.

To improve the BL750’s manoeuvrability and turning circle a heavy duty steering axle has been added, this feature also reduces tyre scrub while increasing tyre life.

To ensure perfect balance of the trailer both in the field and at speed on the road, the configuration has been optimised to manage drawbar, axle and suspension loads effectively.

Increased Bulk Agricultural Trailer Capacity

300mm Grain and 800mm Silage optional extension sides are quick and easy to fit, providing increased capacity for bulky materials including grass and maize silage.

The 300mm grain extensions now come with integrated roll sheet which means easier installation and better fit as well. The roll sheet option also offers increased capacity over the bulker sheet option due to its arched design.

BL 750 Capacities at a Glance

Standard Transport Capacity 26m³

Capacity with 300mm grain side extensions fitted 32m³

Capacity with 800mm Silage side extensions fitted 40m³

External and internal access ladders mean operators can safely and easily inspect or sample loads. The new external height adjustable, removable aluminium ladder, is lighter and better than a steel equivalent.

Imagine how a Stronga BL750 trailer could make your business more efficient

The BL750, as with all Stronga trailers, is available with many options to allow customers to customise the trailer to suit their needs.

As part of Stronga’s continual innovation in bulk transport technology we have developed and built an all new PushLoada PL750, a modern high capacity universal farm transport solution suited for transporting all agricultural bulk goods and offering a number of real advantages over traditional bulk tipping trailers.

Maximum Capacity PushLoada

Increasing costs and farm sizes means transport efficiency is gaining more and more importance, so demand for higher capacity trailers is increasing too. The standard 30 cubic metre capacity can be expanded even further for silage and other bulky materials with optional 600mm high extension sides, taking the capacity up to 40 cubic metres.

The PushLoada’s design with a powerful horizontal multistage hydraulic cylinder and strong body means operators can increase the capacity of the trailer dramatically using the compression cycle.

Depending on the material being carried and its moisture content compression with the pushing blade during loading can dramatically increase the trailers capacity. This improves efficiency for customers by reducing the number of loads.

With fuel costs spiralling and transport consuming a large percentage of tractor running costs it’s a great time to consider the universal PushLoada PL750.

Advantage Universal PushLoada: Imagine the Benefits for your Business

The PushLoada allows farmers to use a large capacity modern trailer in low buildings where tipping a traditional tipping trailer would be impossible.

Improved unloading stability is another benefit, allowing safe unloading on uneven surfaces where a conventional tipping trailer would struggle.

This unique feature is especially useful in silage operations as you can back up onto the clamp and drive forward while pushing off the silage into the correct area of the clamp, saving time as well as reducing fuel cost and wear on your loader.

The PushLoada offers truly universal farm transport solution, from silage or wood chip to grain or manure including heavy materials, even snow.

Emptying Efficiency

The rear door has a high quality double D rubber seal fitted and is self-locking, improving safety and peace of mind. It also opens high and wide for ease of unloading even with fully heaped materials.

Stronga PushLoada’s are fitted with PTO powered pump and independent oil system for fast, controlled compression cycle and unloading performance with no risk of oil contamination between tractors and no reliance on the tractors oil capacity.

Flexible Push Trailer Performance

The highly flexible PushLoada offers high performance whether you are harvesting grass or maize silage, compressing grass and maize forage quickly and simply even whilst driving.

Hydraulic tailgate with grain chute allows controlled emptying into hoppers. The tailgate can also be fitted with a high capacity transfer auger for converting into a grain chaser for maximum grain transport efficiency.

Professional Running Gear

To keep up with today’s high speed tractors, and inline with all Stronga trailers come with multi-leaf parabolic high-speed running gear fitted as standard. Air suspension systems are also available to meet customer’s requirements.

To ensure good manoeuvrability PushLoada trailers are fitted with free steering axles as standard, positive steering axles are also available at the customer’s request. As well as aiding in moving the trailer steering axles also reduce tyre scrub meaning longer life and reduced maintenance.

To provide safe stopping air brakes are fitted as standard, but dual and hydraulic brake systems as well as load sensing valves are available on request.

Safe and easy access is via an adjustable height removable aluminium ladder.

A bright LED light installed inside the trailer improving operator’s visibility, especially useful in low light situations.

For more information on the PushLoada please email info@stronga.com or call +44(0)1992 519000.

Join the transport revolution with Stronga

Stronga will be exhibiting at SIMA (Stand 5a C168) this year alongside our French importer AVL Import Export. On show will be the popular HL180T and our range topping HL250T, both of which have had a number of performance boosting design enhancements. Customers will also be able to view the unique AgriPlus containers, ideal for use in grain and silage operations.

The SIMA exhibition in Paris with over 1,300 exhibitors, more than 208,000 trade visitors and 104 countries represented, is one of the largest agricultural trade shows in Europe. Stronga will be meeting our international partners, from Sunday 20 February to Thursday 24 February.

Reliable, High Output, Proven Hook Lift Trailer Systems

Building on extensive knowledge and experience of building complete hooklift trailers from the ground up, as well as strong relationships with existing customers, the design team have refined and upgraded the HookLoada’s design.

Enhanced reliability

Extended use of high strength steels with upgraded components combined with Stronga’s vast experience of building high performance, long life hook trailer systems has delivered enhanced reliability. All HookLoada components have been fully considered to ensure maximum uptime, optimum productivity and lower service costs.

Increased Payload – Increased Efficiency

Extensive, clever use of high strength materials in key areas of the chassis and suspension, means the tare weight of the trailer has been reduced resulting in higher payloads, bringing our customers greater working efficiencies.
Ultimate Ride, Perfect Balance

To improve trailer performance and stability both on and off road, the ride height has been revised to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible whilst retaining the HookLoada’s good ground clearance.

Modern High Performance Steering and Suspension Systems

Both the 18 tonne and 25 tonne hook trailer models at SIMA feature modern suspension systems, including air suspension and steering axles for customers to view at the show.

Michelin Agricultural Tyre Technology Leads the Field

Tyres are vital to the performance of any trailer and in line with our principles Stronga only fit the best available in the market today. Increased payloads bring issues of soil compaction. Large diameter Michelin Cargo X Bib radial floatation tyres fitted on the HookLoada trailers have a low rolling resistance and soft footprint minimising compaction and soil damage.

Another advantage of low rolling resistance tyres is the added fuel efficiencies that they bring. The low resistance means that the trailer is easier to pull, leading to improved fuel economy and savings through the reduced the fuel consumption of larger machines.

Michelin guarantee their tyres down to a 10mm tread, backed up by the worldwide Michelin dealer network.

Advanced Hook Lift Trailer Control Technology from Stronga

Stronga now offer the option of wireless remote control to operate all trailer functions safely anywhere around the trailer. The user can ensure no-one is in harms way allowing operators to make the best choice of positioning for optimum visibility when loading and unloading.

On the Stronga stand at LAMMA this year we had our two most popular UK models of HookLoada hook lift trailers, the 10 tonne HL010 and the 18 tonne capacity HL180T. Alongside the trailers we also featured a selection of attachments including our 2 man access platform, big bag lifter and recent addition to the Stronga range, the hydraulically operated V Snowplough.

LAMMA 2011 was the biggest yet with 650 stands featuring a wide range of products and services from both the UK and overseas. Many people visiting the Stronga stand were interested in the flexibility and benefits that a HookLoada and containers would bring to their operation. It was also great to meet existing customers and get feedback on the trailers, with many looking at expanding their fleet or add extra containers to diversify their operations.

Low Cost of HookLoada Ownership

One delighted HookLoada customer who visited the Stronga stand was Ian Schooler of Waste Not Green Recycling. Mr Schooler was delighted when he recently sold his 12 tonne HookLoada, purchased in 2006, after years of good service they sold the trailer for the same price as he originally paid for it.

Market Leading Hook Trailer Performance

We met a couple of customers whose trailers lifting capabilities allows them to win contracts over lower capacity conventional hook lift trucks. One customer with a 22 tonne HookLoada (HL220), coupled with a high horse power tractor won a contract to move twenty tonne drums of cable as he was the only one with the capability to pick up and move them. He said that he and his customers are always impressed by the high performance. The trailer has been called out to jobs on short notice where trucks were failing to lift containers but the HookLoada succeeded.

Flexible and Scalable Containerised System

Several of our customers commented on how investing in a HookLoada and correctly specified containers has allowed them to diversify into new areas of work. As customers have used the trailers more they have found new ways to utilise the hook lift container system with a wide range of drop bodies. Increased interest and opportunities in the green waste, composting and biomass energy have meant that customers are looking expand their operations utilising the HookLoada system.

Another HookLoada customer looking to expand is JWK, currently they have a waste food contract for a leading supermarket. The rise in their business has meant they are now considering expanding their capacity, and the hook lift system facilitates these possibilities perfectly.

Reliable and Proven Hook Lift Trailer Design

All of the HookLoada owners that we spoke to were really satisfied with the reliability, performance and the flexibility of their trailers. John and Graham Playfair originally purchased their HookLoada for transporting mushroom waste and draff as well as grain.

However the efficiency savings in fuel, labour and tractor hours are far beyond those they originally anticipated, and with the reliability of the HookLoada system they are considering adding a second trailer to their fleet.

Professional Snow Ploughs

The snow that was experienced over recent months meant there was a great interest in our recently introduced snow ploughs. Many visitors to the stand were remarking on the build quality and proven design of the SVB280, when compared to other ploughs which weren’t strong enough to cope with the extreme conditions.

The flexibility of the plough with its hydraulically operated blades means it is ideal for clearing snow in any environment.

Angling left or right (up to 30degrees) allows for easy clearing of roads

V-forward you can easily and neatly heap snow, making it ideal for clearing yards and car parks

V-back for clearing narrow lanes and drives

The four positions of the plough are changed in cab, keeping the operator warm, safe and dry.

The feature that impressed all with the Stronga V-Snow Plough was the sprung section at the bottom of the blade. This helps prevent damage to the plough in the event of accidental collisions with raised ironworks or curbs. Several operators were complaining that their existing ploughs were getting badly damaged when clearing car parks and roads, as they didn’t have this feature.
The result of this co-operation will see jointly developed modern class leading bulk vegetable trailers produced by Stronga for Miedema for worldwide distribution via the global Miedema dealer network.

As part of this arrangement the Stronga range of hooktrailers and attachments will also be available through all Miedema dealers worldwide.

Forward Thinking – Customer Focused

Both companies work with similar goals and commitment to delivery of world class products focussing on continual product innovation and development, striving to enhance efficiency through the use of technology, helping to reduce both operator running costs and impact on environment.

This new co-operation makes sense for both companies while providing many benefits for customers gaining access the latest potato and vegetable transport technology alongside the existing range of Miedema Planters, and in store handling equipment.

Maximum Transport Capacity – Minimum Root Crop Damage

The BL700 and BL850 specialist root crop trailers, have been designed from a “crops eye view”, to provide a high capacity trailer that minimises crop damage. The body shape is kept low, seamless and rounded helping to reduce the drop from harvesters and make for smooth unloading. Optional potato fall breakers can also be fitted to further minimise crop damage during loading.

Fuel-efficient Technical Tyre Solutions

Soil compaction can become an issue with increased payloads. Large diameter Michelin Cargo X Bib radial floatation tyres fitted as standard on the trailers have a low rolling resistance and soft footprint minimising compaction and soil damage.

Another advantage of low rolling resistance tyres is the added fuel efficiencies that they bring. The low resistance means that the trailer is easier to pull, leading to improved fuel economy and savings by using a smaller tractor or reducing the fuel consumption of larger machines.

Professional Running Gear

To keep up with today’s high speed tractors, the new trailers come with multi-leaf parabolic high-speed running gear fitted as standard, with bogie and air suspension systems are also available to meet customer’s requirements.

To improve manoeuvrability and increase tyre life the BulkLoada BL700 and BL850 Root Crop trailer are fitted with positive steering axles.

Hardox in my Body and my Chassis

The single piece Hardox wear plate floor provides a very stiff and long-life body structure, and Weldox is extensively used in high stress areas of the chassis, use of these specialist steels increase the trailers strength whilst helping minimise its un-laden weight.

The huge front window and grille provides excellent visibility into the trailer from the tractor, enabling the operator to accurately control the loading process and minimise damage to the crop. A plastic window sheet can also be inserted multi-purpose ability allowing for use as a grain trailer.

Heaping Innovation in Bulk Vegetable Transport

To help producers maximise their vegetable and root crop storage capacity and improve their cycle times this model has special design features. The pivot point is set to the very rear of the body, and when coupled with the class leading 56° tipping angle and wide opening rear door provides the trailer with excellent heaping abilities. The professional LED lighting system is fitted in specially designed free moving cages with protective grilles. This reduces the possibility of damaging both the crop and the lighting system during loading and unloading.
